I saw two posters trying to blame the LACK OF PARTICIPATION on this forum on ME and my NEGATIVITY -- that is a TOTALLY FALSE ASSUMPTION. For years now I have been involved in the TT GUARDIAN FORUMS where RACE, POLITICS and CRIME in T&T have been the BITTER TOPICS of conversation and you could not find MORE NEGATIVITY on those forums than the SHIA and SUNNI divide.
Yet, those FORUMS are populated each day with an abundance of posters NEGATIVE AND POSITIVE. If you doubt me, the next time there is a murder in T&T (and there is one-plus every day under this government) go to the bottom of the article and read the BLUNT AND BRUTAL EXCHANGES.
So DOH TRY DAT!!!!

Posting on this forum has nothing to do with whether anyone agrees or disagrees , or is negative or positive.
When I post something , I post a point of view , and anyone is free to agree or disagree.
If you have the courage of your convictions , you should not be afraid to speak up and let the chips fall where they may.
I disagree a lot with Claude , but he has the "gonads" to speak his piece without fear , which is how it should be.
Most people do not post simply because it is human nature to read , listen but not actively participate.
And that is why each letter to an editor or opinion page is weighed to represent many with a similar viewpoint , and why sample groups are important in political polls.
NEGATIVITY?!?! Speaking the truth ALWAYS hurts, even in Pan.
Murders have nothing to do with the government in power.
The murderers do not play party politics otherwise they would be only killing people of the other party.
And of course if people think that the government causes murders to rise or fall then it will probably be because the murderers belong to the party in opposition, as is the case where there is criminality around party affiliation or religious affiliation as in your mentioned Shia Sunni divide, or even the partisan criminality in the Jamaica of just a few years ago.
