Salmon Cupid has articulated his E-PAN VISION, and I understand it!!! But (like time) technological advancement waits on NO ONE!!!
The idea behind the E-PAN (brilliant idea): Give THE PAN PLAYER an instrument which can make him a SYMPHONY DIRECTOR. The only problem is that it takes a BROAD MUSICAL FOUNDATION to live up to SALMON CUPID'S DREAM. (I will leave these details for another day!!!)
In my view, THE PAN SYNTHESIZER is the FLIP SIDE of the E-PAN but with greater GLOBAL PARTICIPATION by more educated MUSICIANS (TECHNO-MUSICIANS) and THIS PRODUCT is going to take PAN MUSIC (Quality PAN TONES) to every corner of the GLOBE in the next two to three years.
The bottom line is that PEOPLE WHO CANNOT PLAY A PAN (never even seen a LIVE PAN) are now going to be able to play some of the best PAN MUSIC you have ever heard in your life. Because TALENTED MUSICIANS (keyboardists -- the world over) are going to be able make some of the HIGHEST QUALITY PAN MUSIC the world has ever heard -- and it will not be coming from the E-PAN or Trinidad.
(Well, if the PRESIDENT OF PAN TRINBAGO listens to me -- some of it could well be coming out of TRINIDAD -- but that is another story.)
So maybe SALMON CUPID'S work is NOT QUITE DONE. Having led the way to this point, I think that he should take a VERY HARD LOOK at the rapid technological development taking place in FINDING THE PERFECT PAN TONE (like the SERUM BOYS are doing) and lead the TRINIDAD PACK (again).
I am convinced that we have THE EAR to recognize THE PERFECT PAN TONE. We just have to join the technological race!!!
