It occurs to me that any band with a good arranger take Boogsie and Phase 11 playing "Do Something For Music". He wins the World Pan Festival in 2000 with Skiffle Bunch playing "In The Rainforest" ah Boogsie composition. Your'e right, Jit's family Band placed high in 1986 Pan is Beautiful Competition embarrassing some big bands. The Art form is very unique, the music sounds liquid when Robbie plays Stardust. Pan 4 life.
You're probably correct about Panazz being greatest assembly of panists ever.
Their outstanding cds among my favorites, and some of the best pan recordings I've heard.Their live album was a gem.
Too bad they are no longer together. History has shown that any assembly of great talent is also an assembly of large egos.
I wonder, could this have been the case here?
If so, that's too bad, because they really had a good thing going for a while.
