THE INTERNATIONAL STEELBAND FOUNDATION defines its role

The INTERNATIONAL STEELBAND FOUNDATION has made one thing perfectly clear: It has no intention of competing with Pan Trinbago, which primarily oversees PANORAMA.

The ISF is looking at developing the commercial aspects of the steel pan as an industry.

Established as a non-profit company, the ISF plans to work for the benefit of all persons associated with playing the steel pan. Their mandate is the research and development of materials, acoustics, and training of new pan tuners; along with organizing youth programs, staging concerts and festivals, manufacturing and selling steel pans and providing advice on the marketing of players, instruments and THE MUSIC.

Yet to be worked out is the CAPITALIZATION of the company and PRIMARY PROJECTS.

The ownership structure and whether or not to retain Non-Profit status are also issues that remain up in the air in this initial stage.

The ISF has a long list of major projects on its agenda: the first two being a project to produce prototype pan stands out of Japan and a pan concert on July 22 by the BIG FIVE STEELBANDS.

July 6th 2010, this is also called 'Money Laundering", also violating an already Patented since September 18 1963 technology , and Copyrighted November 1999 through the Library of Congress Washington D.C. that was also Modified July 6th 2003 via "Invent Tech" of Florida U,S, where under the U.S. Copyright Act 17 U.S.C sec 105 thru 109 thru 301, the penalty for willful infringement is 5 years in Federal Prison or $250.000,00 fine or both, this is nothing like Jack Warner's FIFA fiasco, where it will take them at lease 15 years to extradite him, ours is a direct violation when they, actually WENT TO THE U.S. and filed this patent, using U.S. currency in Trinidad and in the U.S., there will be 3 counts, Trafficking and Money Laundering, Patent Infringement, and Copyright Infringement, and who knows what I may come with later, this is NO PROMISE, THIS IS FACTS...

Now the leadership of five major steel bands have moved to form a "steel band foundation". One of them is from the band which the current Pan Trinbago president had last been associated with. This represents a show of effective no confidence in the leadership of the organization by some of its most powerful constituent elements."....

Need clarification - this organization is "National" meaning In Trinidad, no "International" arms but for Trinidad bands touring Internationally and or production of Pan Items? Just asking.

      And Mi Amigo, we already drew "blood" from their juggler when we filed the claim, now we have to just finish the job, as Manning is no longer with them, only P.M. and Presidents are "Immune" from prosecution but, they can be "Impeached", so with the U.S. extradition of Copeland et al, it will be the last nail in the coffin...

        How yuh going to extradite COPELAND when you cannot even extradite JACK WARNER? Have you seen the list of JACK WARNER crimes? If Jack Warner spend 10 years teaching KEITH DIAZ SCAMS -- Keith Diaz will have to go back to him for another five years just to start to match up. odw is a serious fellah yuh know -- so doh make no promises to that man that are not imminent!

ANY ORGANIZATION REPRESENTING THE STEELBAND MUST FIRST ACKNOWLEDGE THE IMPORTANCE OF IDENTIFYING WITH THE ABSENCE OF THE STEELBAND IN CARNIVAL. PAN PEOPLE WILL NOT ALLOW ANY GROUP TO SIDESTEP THIS ISSUE.

  Mr. Hinkson: Trinidad's role on the INTERNATIONAL STEELBAND SCENE is being greatly diminished, day by day. This organization is attempting to respond to that crisis. Unfortunately, bringing STEELBANDS back on the road for Carnival is NOT ON OUR AGENDA as you can see from the MISSION STATEMENT ABOVE.
