We talk about how we invented the steelPAN but we never acknowledge that we also invented the IRON, true it is the hub of a car but it was us that made it a percussive instrument, we created a distinct sound that we could find any type of steel now, we know what a IRON sound like. The IRON is as much Trini as the Pan.

I want every panman get up and take a stand
And make steelband music the number one.

It was real tears to keep moving through stages
Pan has really struggled since birth
To be what it is on earth
I'm a rebel a pan rebel
Verse 2 Lets consider the panmen of the future

And as for heat in de kitchen I BRING HEAT I AINT SCARED OF HEAT.
Mr.Gonzales do you remember or maybe heard of the visits that harry belafonte a jamaican national made to trinidad at carnival time back in the day?Well from what i heard harry belafonte took the calypso artform without anyones consent in T&T and took it to the great USA and sold it as his own so americans were of the opinion that calypso was a jamaican artforn. So if you believe that Merchant and Brother Stalin's fears are myths then you leave me no other choice but to question your loyalty to trinidad and tobago or maybe you are a foreigner.Pan is like a hooker on a global mission to find as many tricks as possible. That is what i am preaching against because"verse" i'm a rebel of the pan revoloution ,seeking changes for the betterment of pan,i want every panman/woman get up and take a stand and make steelband music the number one."chorus"Over the years we've been through many changes,it was real tears to keep moving through stages, pan has really struggled since birth to be what it is on earth,i'm a rebel a pan rebel. This my friend is a verse and chorus of Phase 2 1983 panorama tune composed by Len"Boogsie"Sharpe and these are some of the lyrics i wrote for that song,so that should give you an idea what my mindset was like back in 1983.Long Live Pan in the Mecca.
Where are the lyrics? You did not post them. Calypso lyrics are my favorite thing to read; so go ahead and post them. And just for the record, I am not a FOREIGNER. And U-N-L-I-K-E most of the posters on this forum: I born in Trinidad; meh mother and father born in Trinidad; meh grand parents born in Trinidad; meh great grand parents born in Trinidad!!!
I am not a foreigner!!!! But I am really curious to see the lyrics you wrote for that calypso. So get them on here! You should start a new topic and we could discuss the lyrics!!!
I gave you the first verse and the chorus please read it again.
