The loss of the beloved PANPOT at Reverbnation

Since the 2012 panorama season, the folks at UTT in conjunction with Pan Trinbago have been publicly posting live recordings from all categories and all rounds of the competition on their "PanPot" site on Reverbnation, to much acclaim from pan lovers across the globe. This year, shortly after they began to post the eastern zone prelims, the songs completely vanished from the Reverbnation website, with no explanation given other than "technical issues".

I know I am not the only person missing that feature, and I challenge the investigative journalists at When Steel Talks to get to the bottom of it. This initiative of providing pan lovers everywhere (as well as the bands and players themselves) full audio documentation for the previous two seasons was one of the most progressive things PT has done in recent history, and its sudden and inexplicable removal is a loss greatly felt; however, I am sure there is an explanation for it. What say you WST?

  • WST is in total agreement with you on the benefits of having that audio available to the pan world. Indeed, WST like many others used the public share and embed options to post the performances in this forum. Many pan music lovers posted this audio in their facebook profiles, pages and websites.

However, WST completely respects Pan Trinbago's decision to suspend and or remove share codes. Just like we respect anyone who removes or makes "private" their video on You Tube and similar sites. It is their right to do so.

Anything more past this, Noah, you can take it up privately with Pan Trinbago as your own initiative.
