I saw some of it "live" for the first time this year...I make it my business to each the replays once carnival is over...No comparison to ours...The attention to detail in the costumes is unbelievable...

What we need in TRINIDAD is a MULTI-PURPOSE RUNWAY like the SAMBADROME that could be used YEAR ROUND for FETES, STEELBAND COMPETITIONS and PERFORMANCES, CARNIVAL MUSEUM, TOURIST CENTER, WEDDINGS, CHRISTENINGS, FAMILY REUNIONS, and the CULTURAL WORKS. Even a HOTEL and CASINO and RESTAURANTS and NIGHT CLUBS could be integrated into the VENUE for YEAR ROUND USE.
How many HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS have been spent on BUILDING THE NORTH STAND -- before carnival -- and BREAKING IT DOWN, after CARNIVAL.
NATIONAL PRIDE!!! I know how PROUD Trinis -- LOCAL and FOREIGN -- would be to have a VENUE like this.
