I got to meet Allyson personally back in the 90s. The thing that stood out to me was her down-to-earth humility. Allyson truly didn't care what you looked like or came from; she was very respectful and professional in all her dealings with me. She was also a fierce supporter of Trinidad and Tobago's rich and multi-diverse culture, and a "class-act" journalist in the local media industry. She is truly a national "shero", and Trinidad & Tobago is richer, in the example and legacy she left. Condolences to the Hennessy family and her loved ones. http://www.guardian.co.tt/news/2011/05/09/allyson-hennessy-passes-63
