I mentioned this before, but now it is really starting to take CENTER STAGE. As PAN TRINBAGO went SILENT during the 15 months of COVID 19, PAN LOVERS across TRINIDAD seemed to get introspective (or maybe the time had just come) and decided that they CANNOT just sit and wait on the GOVERNMENT and ESPECIALLY NOT PAN TRINBAGO to move the MOVEMENT FORWARD.
This is something that should have happened 40 years ago, but better late than never.
SMALL BUSINESSES and POLITICIANS and CONCERNED INDIVIDUALS FOR PAN (I am not talking about that now-splintered group that used that name) are looking at the ground and seeing dereliction -- and they are taking MAJOR STEPS to pull the PAN YARDS and the SPIRIT OF THE PAN PLAYERS out of the doldrums and into a new era of PROGRESS FOR PAN.
There is one EARTH SHAKING PROJECT on the HORIZON that is going to be MAJOR NEWS; I would say INTERNATIONAL NEWS. And that project could bring GLOBAL EYES (and FUNDING) to the STEELBAND MOVEMENT if it is HANDLED PROFESSIONALLY. That single project could move the STEELBAND MOVEMENT in TRINIDAD from STRENGTH TO STRENGTH.
PAN TRINBAGO has failed MISERABLY!!! And now it seems that THE EXECUTIVE was just sitting around for two and a half years just waiting for the NEXT ELECTION to suddenly appear with more EMPTY CAMPAIGN PROMISES to secure the $27,500 for the INCUMBENT PRESIDENT and waste another THREE YEARS of FORWARD PROGRESS for PAN while PAN YARDS and PAN PLAYERS continue TO SUFFER.
I am going to find a way to be a part of this NEW AWAKENING that could finally bring some FINANCIAL INDEPENDENCE and PROJECT DEVELOPMENT and GLOBALIZATION of the STEELBAND MOVEMENT despite the grim ECONOMIC times that lie ahead for TRINIDAD and TOBAGO as COVID 19 put added stress on a DECLINING ECONOMY.
PAN PEOPLE TAKING ACTION AND HELPING THEMSELVES -- THAT DAY HAS FINALLY ARRIVED!!!
