Just by chance I was in the middle of formulating a TOPIC about the selection of candidates for the UPCOMING PAN TRINBAGO ELECTIONS. And now it may seem a little reactionary, but it is NOT. So here goes.

After hundreds of emails and phone calls and back and forth with some of my PAN POLITICAL ADVISERS down in THE MECCA, the consensus among the LOCAL EXPERTS was that the QUALITY of CANDIDATES for this year's PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION was VERY POOR and unlikely to produce a PRESIDENT who could put PAN on a PROGRESSIVE PATH. Let me be redundant and say that ALL THE CANDIDATES fall in the VERY POOR category -- that is the analysis ON THE GROUND from some of the most DEDICATED PAN LOVERS and EXPERTS down in the MECCA. And please note that one does not have to live in WASHINGTON to know what is going on in DC politics.

So it does not matter who is elected -- THINGS are going to remain the same. What ever promises of UTOPIA and SONG we hear for the next 26 days. Which is really heartbreak for me because I was dreaming and hoping about a BRIGHTER SUN for PAN TRINBAGO.

And I read all these group chats and forums, I see so many genuine HARD CORE PAN LOVERS dying inside for the day when PAN TRINBAGO will elect a VISIONARY LEADER and everybody could join hands (near and far) and make a contribution to PAN IN THE MECCA.

But it ain't going to happen in 2018!!!

Claude but you yourself to man. Be a big man and accept it nah. The only visionary it have among the candidates is Beverley. In 2012 she resigned and warned us about the imminent collapse of pan Trinbago due to fiscal indiscipline we did not believe and we voted to make her pan terrorist. She could not enter pan Trinbago premises or shows. Today she was right and we were wrong, her eyes were open we were blind. She is the Visionary. We voting Beverley! Before you judge people check their track record. I check the woman out and I am well pleased with her work in pan. One of her projects am fascinated with is pan Tourism project that her Tobago band initiated. Ah also want to know what kind of negotiating skill she have that she alone could have government to build that head quarters that cost millions for her band. Can't wait for her to help us.
