  • Every so often a CALYPSO COMPOSER integrates cliché into the argument of his song with such fluidity that it goes beyond the boundary of critique. This song meets that standard with me. On top of that, the social argument (given the period) sung with strained vocals, maniacal musical accompaniment and blunt defense -- brings a sense of urgency, desperation and passion that wins your heart.

I will always believe that this is the GREATEST CALYPSO LP EVER PRODUCED!!!

... and with their political views I can't agree!!!

    • In fact, I consider the entire album, Ghetto Vibes,1976 with music arranged by Arthur DeCoteau one of the classics in calypso discography. Every track is a gem.

      • I would say that it is the FIRST and BEST (and only?) CONCEPT CALYPSO LP ever produced!!!
