Business Day had planned to treat with the plight of the artistes and the difficulties they face recovering royalty payments. We believed however the decision to audit Pan Trinbago and more specifically, the organisation’s reaction to it, deserved some attention this week.
The spirt of Pan Trinbago’s response to the announcement suggests that, as an organisation, it is above reproach, has been an efficient steward of its affairs and is the unfair target of a media vendetta.
