I think that WACK had about 180 viewers and the COMMENTATOR kept talking about the LACK OF LIVE ATTENDANCE and the number of people OUTSIDE. Kenny Phillips complained bitterly about the SOUND SYSTEM and the logistics at the start of the show.

So much talk about THE LOVE FOR PAN but NOBODY wants to PAY to see the PRODUCT.

When you look at all THE MILLIONS in PRODUCTION COSTS for the PANORAMAS -- they might be better off just HANDING THE MONEY to the FULL TIME BANDS so that they could build up their PAN YARDS and become the PROMISED CENTERS OF EXCELLENCE.

As far as the PANORAMA MUSIC goes, to me it sounds as if these ARRANGERS are inventing a new genre of music and inserting it into the CALYPSO -- I am hearing very little calypso in those arrangements and what they are doing sounds quite flavourless.

Still, I would like to hear ONE of those arrangers take out all of their ADD-ONS and just do an ORIGINAL COMPOSITION and see how it stands up.

It is going to be interesting to watch the ATTENDANCE as the BIG BANDS now come on stage; the economy is BAD; and this is a historically LONG PANORAMA SEASON; pockets might already be drained.

... I still would like to hear ONE of these PANORAMA BANDS play a CALYPSO in CALYPSO. Maybe KENDALL WILLIAMS will MAKE MY DAY in the TOBAGO MEDIUM BAND FINALS.

Kenny Philips is not a PAN MAN. He doesn't understand the marketing of PAN.

WACK is not producing a must see global PRODUCT.

Pan Trinbago is producing a local product with regional tendencies.

What is he pushing? The event? The music? The Bands? The players? The competition? The enormous Prizes?

Did WACK send an advance ground crew to Iowa to make sure the Iowa Pan students were would be watching last night?

What is the difference between the Panorama production of 1980, 2000 and 2020?
