Three regional chairmen of Pan Trinbago yesterday called for the resignation of its central executive and president Keith Diaz, stating that the pan organisation needs to be properly restructured for it to go forward.
The call was made by Tobago’s regional chairman Marie Toby, Gerard Mendez, of the Northern Region and Carlon Harewood, of the eastern region at the Newtown Playboyz Steel Symphony, Port-of-Spain, at a press conference.
The trio are also demanding that fresh elections be held to select a new slate for the pan body, since they claim the executive has been holding illegal meetings and spending Pan Trinbago’s funds to line the pockets of hot shot lawyers.

Nothing new.... Steelbands has to resign from Pan Trinbago and let it die...
Cecil Hinson , on the surface it may seem like a good idea for steelbands to resign from Pan Trinbago , but on further thought it may not be.
Think about it.
The act of parliament that created Pan Trinbago as a corporation , gave them a mandate to manage the affairs and finances of steelbands .
( Kinda like how WASA has a mandate to take care of the water supply :)
Pan Trinbago will not disappear , even if a majority of steelbands resigned and left , and they will still have the mandate and the power, and that means government funds etc. will still go to the organization.
So steelbands have no choice but to "fix" the organization , which definitely needs restructuring.
It will be great if the current executives bow to pressure and either resign , or call new elections , but if that doesn't happen , pan people will have to be patient , and await the electoral process held at the Special Convention in accordance with the constitution.
... and await the electoral process held at the Special Convention in accordance with the constitution [THEY WILL!!!].
Everybody LINING UP to takeover!!!
I don't want MENDEZ or TOBY or BEVERLEY or BEYER taking over PAN TRINBAGO!!!
So is REAL WAR between now and OCTOBER.
