    Refreshing to hear Birdsong, for their departure from the sustained ostinatos that dominate Panorama music.  Melody met harmony and they lived happily ever after.

    Claude, take the time to listen to Andre White's arrangement of 'Fiery' by Pamberi. Easily the best arranged tune for 2018 that I've heard so far.

      Mercer: "LONG TIME" is one of my favourite calypsos of ALL TIME. And I can tell you that they butchered that calypso. I guess you are a PAN LOVER and not a CALYPSO LOVER. But if you are going to play a Calypso for me (especially if you are from T&T) I expect you to display some FIDELITY to the Calypso. And let me tell you something that is driving me mad: all that WHITE (European Music) that they are trying so hard to put in MY PANORAMA have me on the steps of a MENTAL INSTITUTION.

      The most fun I had on this forum in a long time was the SUMMER TIME (this last one) when the gay pan teacher from NEW YORK went on a rant and called steelbands "cover bands" and nothing more. So when the steelbands in PANORAMA cover the popular Calypsos for Panorama -- I expect to hear them focusing on the ORIGINAL CALYPSO more than trying to display to me what they know about EUROPEAN MUSIC.

      Yuh think any one ah dem arrangers could go to Vienna and say they play CLASSICAL? So why neglect your culture? Doh make me feel sad!!!

      Ah going and read "MIMIC MEN" by Naipaul one more time!!!

        I always thought that T&T was a "mimic" society. Sorry. Yuh want Calypso music, check Pamberi and opinion dat.
