  • Things went awry
When they put pan in the sky.
Can't remember people complaining as they walked from St James to Savannah and back, from Cocorite, from Woodbrook, they even came from San Juan to play and to fight.
Today they are fitter, but lazier.
Pan should be grounded again for one day, at least.
On de ground, on de ground, on de ground......for one day......again.
Me?? Too old tuh walk that far, taxi to green corner and I good.
    • patrick ramdoo, if not "we" who?

  • odw, "we" have to make Steelbands rule the streets again, the people of T&T have to make Steelbands rule the streets again.

It is the birth-rite of the Steelband to be on the road for carnival, it's where it was born.

Sooner or later the people of T&T will realize what we are blessed with, a instrument and a festival to benefit ALL it's people.

Any group that represent Steelband People main concern should be to make sure that the Steelband remain relevant to carnival not panorama.

I am happy to hear more people speak out about Canboulay and Mardi Gras, it tells me that there is a certain consciousness about where we are today. Carnival is dying a slow death, FIX IT.

A Steelband Street Party carnival Monday afternoon is a good place to start, Sponsors would rush to be associated with the return of the steelband in a big way, a Bomb competition for the same prizes as panorama would be a good incentive.

odw lets hope the people in the Mecca see the how important carnival is to their growth. Hats off to the management and supporters of All Stars for maintaining their presence in carnival.
