11:00 PM Update: Most customers from Penal to Mt. Hope have had their electricity supply restored.

T&TEC now estimates electricity should be restored to all of Trinidad by 1:00 AM

Dear valued customers, we continue to support the efforts of our Independent Power Producers to get power back onto the grid for distribution by T&TEC. While restoration is moving slower than initally hoped, more customers (communities in closest proximity to the generating plants) are back up.

Most customers from Penal to Pt Lisas are now on supply. We continue to gradually push power further north, west and east. We anticipate that, barring any unforeseen circumstances, those customers should be back on in approximately two hours.

We again apologise for the extended outage. Be assured that we are working as quickly as possible to get you back on supply.
