Trinidad and Tobago National Junior Panorama 2010 Music Selections and Appearance Order

Trinidad and Tobago - Pan holds the spotlight once again this weekend as the Ministry of Education in collaboration with Pan Trinbago and Pan in Schools Coordinating Council (PSCC) host the National Junior Panorama.

This time it’s the turn of young pannists as 35 junior steel orchestras compete in the National Junior Panorama at the Queen’s Park Savannah, Port of Spain, from 9:00 am on Sunday February 7, 2010.

Junior steelbands like their senior counterparts may select any calypso once that composition has not been played by the band in a Panorama competition. Each steelband shall perform for a maximum of six (6) minutes.

Participating bands will be judged in three categories ie Primary School (12), Secondary School (10) and Under 21 (13) for prize monies totaling $697,000.

  • Sarah-Ann, I was able to catch it on WACKfm. It was great. I was a little surprised at the results. I thought Renegades Youth had run away with the competition. I don't want to start any trouble but I also felt Renegades Youth was much better than the Renegades big band. No joke. I really think they would place higher in the large band panorama this weekend.

  • It was a treat. Those children were enjoying themselves "fuh so". It is a pity that this was the first time in tears that it was not seen on local television. At leastup until 2pm there was no local coverage. Starlift Youth were the most entertaining and they presented the piece like professionals.
