Understanding the Constitution/Constitutional Reform with Lesedi Felix
According to Mr. Felix, we can't really ask to amend what we don’t understand, so firstly we must thoroughly go through all the articles of Pan Trinbago's constitution. He has started the discussions virtually on the 18th of August and the sequel will be this Wednesday the 1st September.
Mr Felix is a steel band Arranger and steel band leader. He is a Secondary School Music Teacher who obtained a Master of Arts in Carnival Studies and Bachelor degree of Fine Arts in the Performing Arts. Mr felix is the co-author of the constitution for the Sports and Leisure Club at the Academy for the Performing Arts Campus UTT. In addition, in his tenure as the Executive Student Guild President of UTT, he was instrumental in the re-establishment of the Tertiary Students Guild (TSG) in which he reviewed its constitution and discussed amendments at numerous meetings. He has expressed an interest to assit in whatever way he can, once the membership allows, in strengthening Pan Trinbago’s constituation.
After almost two decades of promises to amend Pan Trinbago’s constituation by different administration with no success, Mr. felix believes that at this time someone has to step up and start the process. The first webinar was well attended and very interactive. SteelBand leaders, Pan Trinbago’s regional executives and central executives, students, pan players, tuners and well wishers both local and international were all in attendance.
On Wednesday the 1st of September, Tomorrow’s webinar promises to be just as informative as the last. He will give a quick recap on the previous session, up to where he stoped in the constituation and then continue hopefully to the end. He is welcoming you to attend and be a part of this much needed intervention on the process to a better Pan Trinbago.
Thank you Mr felix for caring enough to take this initiative; you have our full support.

With all due respect, the present executive and previous executives of PanTrinbago view the constitution as a document to be trotted out when the occasion warrants it ( i.e. when it benefits the executive). Nothing will change whether it is amended or not. The problem is that no one (right thinking members of the executive) who has the power to enforce the articles of the constitution has the will (lack of cohones, backbone) to do so.
Imagine we got a forensic audit that documented wrong doing of an executive and the response was "bury the report". Some even sing praises of that executive to this day. Violations by the present executive are legion. Yet nothing is done . So go ahead and amend the document.
