  • JAMMA: Why don't you come on and tell us why you wrote the song and what message you were trying to deliver and why you chose that style of music to deliver the song. And where you are planning to go on your calypso journey. Who wrote the lyrics? And who picked the title?

    • Hi Claude good to hear your interest in the song.

I wrote this song due to obstacles I was facing promoting pan at certain venues, it was a very trying time in my career.

I chose Calypso because of the social commentary style of telling a story to  a beat I was comfortable with.

I always felt Crazy was the best person to deliver the message I was putting across.

I also found this a different way as a panist to put my story across( not in the form as a biography in word fashion but as a musical piece. )

I wrote all the lyrics and the title of the song  telling a true story of my experience

I also would like to see  this as a new way for the panist to present  there music to the masses not rated because of the amount of bands playing your composition, but putting out a piece of music from the heart that stands as a testimony of the creativity of  using music and lyrics combine to   put forward a piece of music that is timeless.

      • I am glad that you came on to answer the questions. I am not a PAN MAN or MUSICIAN but I am a BIG TIME CALYPSO LOVER especially from the lyrical aspect of the game. I have read part of your PAN STORY  along the way and got a good idea of your view of the music struggle where you live. And your calypso "INGORANCE" expands on that story very well. I would like to give you MY REVIEW of the song but I prefer not to do so on the forum. Here is my email address (realtyeyes@hotmail.com) you can send me an email and we will discuss THIS SONG and your NEXT SONG.

It's nice to have a L-I-V-E artiste come on the forum and discuss their work. I hope some other posters join the conversation.

        Claude
