Finals Results for Small Conventional Steel Orchestras - Trinidad & Tobago National Panorama 2018 - Arranger Vanessa Headley Leads Golden Hands Steel Orchestra Straight To The Top!

Trinidad & Tobago, W.I. - Victory! For first-time champions Golden Hands Steel Orchestra in the small conventional band category of the 2018 Trinidad & Tobago National Panorama competition, at the same time doing the country’s South/Central region proud! Led musically by arranger Vanessa Alexandra Headley and performing at position eight out of fourteen, Golden Hands played Headley’s own composition, Trouble. She is also an ace solo steelpan performing artist, and an excellent vocalist in her own right. For the past few years, Headley has composed and sung the tunes performed by Golden Hands in the annual national Panorama in the small steel orchestra category. The band’s highest ranking before its 2018 championship title was second place back in 2010, its first entry in Panorama competition. Golden Hand’s instruments are manufactured and tuned by the legendary Bertram “Birch” Kelman.

You come through big this time,and might I say that this composition was not as infectious as 2017"s which I loved and had high expectations of taking the big prize. But, success is success. Congratulations once again. Go Girl. You made the South Proud as well.
