Port-of-Spain,  Trinidad & Tobago, W.I. - The prizes for the winners of this year’s National Panorama Competition are expected to remain the same as last year’s, although the prize structure is yet to be confirmed.

This according to Pan Trinbago president, Keith Diaz, who noted that the organisation asked Government for a $6 million increase in its budget allocation this year, but received $34 million, which was the same as last year.

The 2014, and possibly for 2015, prizes in the Panorama competition for first, second, and third places respectively were $1 million, $700,000 and $650,000 in the large band category; $600,000, $550,000 and $500,000 for the medium bands; $400,000, $350,000 and $300,000 for small bands; and $200,000, $120,000 and $95,000 in the single pan category. However, Diaz said the first ten bands in each category receive prizes which would cost a total of $12 million.

The Greens is pocket change for the boys.

  • The more things change, the more they remain the same. Same ole talk, be prepared for the back and forth between Pan Trinbago and Government, who knows election year they may get what they want. Lets go Pan Elders "Party Time" again.
