We falsely assumed that we were looking at the BACK OF THE CHEQUE when in fact the CHEQUE was in an ENVELOPE.
Now, it is not UNUSUAL to put a CHEQUE in an ENVELOPE when you are presenting it to someone. So there was no SLEIGHT OF HAND as we misconstrued it to be.
Of course, being as curious as we are, most of the readers wanted to know how much the CHEQUE was written for. But it is up to BEVERLEY and PAN TRINBAGO to reveal or conceal the amount.
This was a case of a picture painting 1000 UNIFORMED WORDS.

As everybody knows, BEVERLEY RAMSEY-MOORE inherited a BANKRUPT PAN ORGANIZATION -- financially ruined by the likes of KEITH DIAZ and RICHARD FORTEAU and MICHAEL JOSEPH and DARREN SHEPPARD and even the COLLEGE BOY becuase he, too, got his share.
Given the scarcity of FUNDS and the never ending flow of outstanding unpaid bills -- BEVERLEY was forced to find creative ways to generate funds to try to bring the books back in balance. In this quest, she has reopened the STEELDRUM FACTORY and she contracted with KENNY PHILLIPS and WACK to offer the PANORAMA as a pay-per-view event.
Clearly, they had to come to some agreement on THE NUMBERS.
KENNY PHILLIPS and WACK RADIO in turn ran a successful operation in marketing the PANORAMA BROADCAST and numerous PAN FANS from around the world subscribed to the broadcast. After clearing expenses -- the PROFIT from the show was split equally between WACK and PAN TRINBAGO.
So the CHEQUE now has to be presented to PAN TRINBAGO. Well, it was decided to make it a PHOTO OPPORTUNITY to show the world that PAN TRINBAGO is willing to work with independent entities to find ways to generate income instead of just waiting for GOVERNMENT HANDOUTS like the previous EXECUTIVE.
In other words, BEVERLEY RAMSEY-MOORE was showing BUSINESS INITIATIVE.
It was not a MASSIVE DEBT CLEARING CHEQUE -- it was a modest and SYMBOLIC PROFIT ... a tangible profit which could be taken to the bank. So it was appropriate to document the event and tell the world that this could be the start of SOMETHING BIG.
NEXT YEAR, if done right, THE CHEQUE could be for $200,000 and growing annually.
So the purpose of the picture was to show the world that PAN TRINBAGO (under BEVERLEY RAMSEY MOORE) was stepping out into the world of PAN BUSINESS creating successful partnerships and bringing in PROFITS after a mere SEVEN MONTHS IN OFFICE.
Starting small and moving from strength to strength -- BEVERLEY RAMSEY-MOORE will bring PAN PROSPERITY to the STEELBAND MOVEMENT in TRINIDAD and TOBAGO.
