Well EVERY WINNER in EVERY CATEGORY is PROMISING to take the MUSIC GLOBAL but until they could recognize their blind spots it is ALL BLUFF!!!

THE CHUTNEY KINGS say that they are going GLOBAL with the CHUTNEY!!!

The PANORAMA ARRANGER KING say that he GOING GLOBAL with the PAN MUSIC!!!

The CALYPSO KING say that he ready to TAKE CALYPSO to the WORLD!!!

THE INTERNATIONAL SOCA MONARCH KING say that he talking the genre to the GRAMMYS!!!

THE ROAD MARCH KING say that he taking SOCA to THE UNIVERSE!!!

I wonder if any of these LOCAL KINGS have ever stopped to study THE HISTORY of CROSSOVER PAN and CALYPSO and SOCA and CHUTNEY?

Now, I happen to believe that all of these GENRES could score BIG in the INTERNATIONAL MARKETS and I have been waiting and dreaming about that for decades. But it CANNOT be accomplished through LOCAL LENSES.

MAJOR ADJUSTMENTS have to be made in MUSICAL CONCEPTS, PRODUCTION and CONTENT. And until OUR KINGS humble themselves and adjust to that REALIZATION -- is all ROBBER TALK and SPINNING TOP IN MUD!!!

But I must say that after listening to KILLA doing his POST SOCA KING VICTORY INTERVIEW, his FOCUS and HUMILITY is SCARY. If he could get some help from the OUTSIDE to educate him on CONTENT and to polish his act for INTERNATIONAL STAGES -- he might just be the BIG BREAK THROUGH SOCA ARTISTE that everybody was HOPING FOR.
