WHEN STEEL TALKS is the WORLD GOVERNING BODY of STEELBAND INFORMATION!!! The most GLOBALLY READ STEELDRUM PLATFORM EN EL MUNDO -- so I was disappointed to see so few accolades and compliments directed at DUVONE STEWART at the HEIGHT OF HIS GREATEST ACCOMPLISHMENTS.
Even CECIL HINKSON disappointed me!!! He had but a few lines of praise when I expected him to deliver a BOOK OF ADULATION.
Now everybody knows that HIS MUSIC is not my cup of PANORAMA TEA. But as a man who has been following STEELBAND MUSIC (playing calypso) since the mid-fifties with SUNLAND STEELBAND in TUNAPUNA -- I have to respect the MASSIVE ACCEPTANCE of DUVONE'S MUSIC by the STEELBAND WORLD and I cannot close my eyes to his WINNING WAYS (HISTORICAL WINNING WAYS).
So let us PRAISE THE NEW KING OF STEELBAND ARRANGING in THE MECCA!!!
