I did not like the MUSICAL INTRO and I did not like Denyse Plummer singing that song with her NASAL TONE. But the depth of social commentary that he captured in this calypso and THE RELEASE that resolved the story line -- I am not sure that I could find better lyrics that support an argument anywhere in any other calypso.
So I have toTIP MY HAT to ALVIN DANIEL here -- as a CALYPSO LOVER.
THIS FEELING NICE
Tell the DEE-JAY to play
Only SOCA MUSIC today
Cause when I feel this way
I could party all day
This Feeling Nice
Like Sugar and Spice
Yes this feeling nice
Like fire on ice
Soca music get inside me
Hook me like a vice
Have meh feeling NICE NICE NICE
Mr. Pan Man don't cheat
Make it WASSY and make it SWEET
From meh head to meh feet
I vibrating with heat
This Feeling Nice
Like Sugar and Spice
Yes this feeling nice
Like fire on ice
Soca music get inside me
Hook me like a vice
Have meh feeling NICE NICE NICE
Let the music play on
Keep it jammin from dusk til dawn
Cause ever since I B-O-R-N
Never had so much F-O-R-N
This Feeling Nice
Like Sugar and Spice
Yes this feeling nice
Like fire on ice
Soca music get inside me
Hook me like a vice
Have meh feeling NICE NICE NICE
At the end of the day
SOCIAL PRESSURES have you at BAY
Take a TIMEOUT I say and just dance them away
This Feeling Nice
Like Sugar and Spice
Yes this feeling nice
Like fire on ice
Soca music get inside me
Hook me like a vice
Have meh feeling NICE NICE NICE
VAMP OUT

Yuh feeling to break way
Together we go fall down on the ground
Today we feeling to break way
Tonight -- ah want another man

Phase II Pan Groove "This Feeling Nice"
Panorama Finals 1987. Len "Boogsie" Sharpe's championship winning arrangement of his own composition.
I will love to hear Alvin views on Panorama, from then to now. And the state of the Steelband today, can't think of a better person to do that.
May be he can help clarify the discrepancy, Boogsie is credited as the composer.
