How much HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS of DOLLARS the PNM pour into PAN since 1956? And because the PNM MINISTER OF CULTURE leave PAN OUT of a show (where, frankly, i myself don't believe PAN BELONG) they want to crucify the woman calling for RESIGNATION and all kinda ting.
The PROBLEM is that PAN is still TOO DEPENDENT on HANDOUTS. And PAN never gained the leadership that could pull it out of its DEPENDENCY SYNDROME.
Ironically, this KASSAV/MACHEL/SHAGGY show just exposes the INABILITY of the PAN MOVEMENT to DO SOMETHING FOR PAN or HELP ITSELF. PAN TRINBAGO sits around for the FIRST TEN MONTHS in office and fails to lift a finger in terms of a DECENT PAN CONCERT and suddenly when somebody else does all the work and puts a BIG SHOW together -- PAN PLAYERS want to be FRONT and CENTER reaping the rewards of somebody else's effort and walking away with a FAT PAY CHECK.
This whole outcry is nothing but a PAN HUSTLE (some false pretense about caring about PAN) to shame DOCTOR DOLLY into capitulating and adding some BIG NAME STEELBAND -- desperate for an EASY PAY DAY. I hope that DOCTOR DOLLY does not fall for the HUSTLE.
Who cared when KEITH DIAZ and RICHARD FORTEAU and MICHAEL JOSEPH were stealing SIXTY MILLION DOLLARS from PAN TRINBAGO -- PAN MEN MONEY with which they could have thrown BIG BIG BIG concert and invited SHAGGY and MACHEL as OPENING ACTS before the REAL MUSIC (PAN MUSIC) took the stage. All the BANDS stayed silent because to WIN PANORAMA you cannot alienate the PAN TRINBAGO BIG BRASS (Ask Ainsworth Mohammed and EXODUS about that).
How much picture BEVERLEY RAMSEY-MOORE pose for with DOCTOR DOLLY. As PRESIDENT OF PAN TRINBAGO with all the skills that BEVERLEY boast about having -- she could not take DOLLY out to lunch and secure a spot on stage for PAN. What kind of leadership is that -- and nobody complains about the INACTIVITY of PAN TRINBAGO other than to have MEETING AFTER MEETING -- with nothing CONCRETE happening.
All these people who are complaining all over the PAN CHAT SITES are real hypocrites. Because most of them grew up in the SIXTIES and SEVENTIES and they know that when it comes to HARDCORE PARTYING in TRINIDAD -- PAN CANNOT CUT IT. We want PLENTY JAMMING with CONVENTIONAL INSTRUMENTS.
The PROBLEM is not the CULTURE MINISTER DOCTOR DOLLY -- the PROBLEM is the LACK OF LEADERSHIP IN PAN TRINBAGO under BEVERLEY RAMSEY-MOORE (and previous PRESIDENTS). And until the PAN PLAYERS wake up and realize that without PROPER REPRESENTATION they will always be BEGGING and waiting for HANDOUTS -- well they will always be BLAMING somebody for MARGINALIZING THEM -- and PAN.
But, of course, with the PANORAMA MENTALITY and being scared to ruffle PAN TRINBAGO FEATHERS because their BAND might get BLANKED -- PAN will stay STUCK IN THE MUD with PAN PLAYERS on the outside with their noses pressed up against the WINDOW PANE watching KASSAV and MACHEL and SHAGGY rock the CARIFESTA CROWD and blaming DOCTOR DOLLY for not putting them CENTER STAGE when in truth and in fact the PNM has given PAN MEN enough MONEY and enough OPPORTUNITY to own the biggest CONCERT HALL IN THE LAND and stage shows that other artistes should be drooling over and begging for a spot on stage -- like PAN MEN are currently doing with DOCTOR DOLLY.
It is not DOCTOR DOLLY who should resign!!! It is BEVERLEY RAMSEY-MOORE who should resign and let some TALENTED MARKETERS and ADMINISTRATORS (who are not OBSESSED WITH THE PANORAMA MENTALITY) step in and LIFT PAN to the HIGHEST INDEPENDENT HEIGHTS both LOCALLY and GLOBALLY!!!

Your beef is really with Mario Aboud who said on CNN that he controls everything in Trinidad and Tobago. And remember it was the small bands and single pan bands that put and kept the previous gangstas in office.
HOWEVER...
You can't hold the Olympics in Trinidad and say the Trinidad track team will not be participating.
Doc Dolly should not have said the things she did while in office. She should resign immediately after she recovers the missing 60 million from Pan Trinbago.
This is really a Big 5 issue. They need to solve it - And make silly all day picture taking people like Dolly fear them.
