I think Keith Diaz and Pan Trinbago should be complimented for this venture. NOTHING could undermine the ORIGINAL NATIONAL PANORAMA EVER. As of this writing Keith Diaz IS the President of Pan Trinbago. I think he was duly elected to that office.
The only accident that has happened to "our Pan Spectrum" is that nothing trickles down to the player.
patrick, nobody elected Diaz, you are talking about the last time they had elections, his mandate was up 3 years ago, at present he is a ROGUE leader.
He was elected. There has not been an election since.

On one level this INTERNATIONAL PANORAMA can be seen as a COMPETITION. But on another level it can be seen as a CELEBRATION of the SUCCESS OF THE STEELBAND. Coming from humble and defiant roots into the TRINIDAD MAIN STREAM then expanding across the globe capturing hearts and generating player participation worldwide.
Tomorrow, a BROTHERHOOD of STEELBAND MUSIC LOVERS display there skills on the SAME STAGE in the BIRTHPLACE of the STEELBAND. This is more of a CONCERT than a COMPETITION -- that is the way I choose to see it. Enjoy every performance on its own merit.
We could pick back up the politics on Monday Morning!!!!
