WST This posting should be updated for the bands tune of choice and arrangers.
Full Extreme...big big chune...good one All Stars...Invaders...luv it...
Cecil Hinkson yes they are the best band in T&T and they are the band's that have the most money in T&T also.
So what will happen to band's that don't have that kind of money?
Who have the most money win panorama.
Who have the most money are able to pay the best arrangers, that's the nature of this beast.
Although I agree that the bands which are well funded place high in Panorama, I also believe tune of choice and the arrangers ability too capture the atmosphere of the country dictates which band wins. Case in point 1990 when Fonclaire captured the essence of the people and Carnival with Pan by Storm but lost to Renegades who played Iron Man. It just seems premature for anyone to predict who will win Panorama until the last band play on final night. Nutones along with Clive Bradley won Panorama and defied the theory that a band which is well funded will win, however with an innovative arranger a band can also win Panorama.
David De, I don't think anything can be done about that because those bands are the best in the land, look at Supernovas today, they have to be added to the group..
Sir Cecil:
From what has been posted, the following four bands are all playing the same tune.
Harmonites, Phase II, Starlift, and Supernovas
Based solely on their tune of choice, which is, “+++++”, it is evident that the winner of the Panorama competition of the unprecedented Panorama Festival in the mecca of steelpan under the final propitious circumstance of Pan Trinbago (as we currently know it) will come from one of the above-mentioned four………………….unless of course, anyone of them will change their mind (and their tune), in which case they will all have to contend with, and face, the Full Extreme embodiment of musical genius manifesting the highest degree of excellence. LOL
Peter, the theme from the"silencers" is also ah favorite this year, may the best band win. lol
We all know that only 2 band's will be trying to get in the panorama,Because the 8 band are already in.And the 8 band's everybody know will be in the panorama for the next, 25 years to 30 years,
And the 8 band's are.
All Stars.
Desperadoes,
Phase 11.
Renegades.
Silver Stars,
Invaders.
A band from Tobago,
A band from San Fernando.
