  • Whats up with the system of judging Panorama...This is 2010....Time to upgerade.
    • The panorama systerm is very unfair to all the talented youth of T&T...Appreciation is needed to keep the culture alive....Love and Respect
  • As much as i respect everyone's comments, I would like to say that this issue is strictly between RENEGADES, AMRIT SAMAROO and TRUE RENEGADES SUPPORTERS!!!! Not Farse people who only open their mouths when confusion is in the air. We want to hear all yuh in good times and bad times, so if yuh fall in that bracket keep out!!!!!

People need to shut their traps especially when they don't know the story. THANK YOU
    • Candice:
The story was in the Trinidad Guardian. That's as public as you can get. You want to make it disappear. Your wishing it so won't make it go away. It time for you and steelbands in general to grow up deal with situations that may be uncomfortable in a professional manner. Once it goes public it is fair game.

Mr. Marcano has done an excellent job in presenting Renegades side of the situation. This is part of the process. This is real management. Stand and defend your position. This is how we grow. This is how we progress. There is nothing wrong in people disagreeing. If both sides are allowed to air their differences, this will make the organization stronger. What you propose is silly, childish and non-productive. Public opinion can sink a group faster than not winning a panorama.

People can discuss what ever they want in this forum as long as it relates to pan.
      • Well. well, well. We all engaged some healthy discussion on the Renegades topic and look at what we have received. So heartwarming! So enlightening! So explicit that one does not really know what to say. Michael Marcano spoke the management's part on the issue. Respect that!. Jeston Lett was extremely explanatory and enlightening on the issues of pan, the panman and the arranger, the present and the future. If there is something about this that anyone, not calling any names, did not gather or understand, then go back and read his statements. The dialogue has been healthy, mature, soul-searching and verrryyyy informative. For his input, I salute him. He could not have put the points across better. Nuff respect still to Gospel Pan and Momo whose contributions egged Lett on to let us all know what time it is. And any level-headed person involved in pan, or with some grasp of the instrument and the business side of it, would also salute his input, and, if possible, make use of it in the future. Everybody argued their point usefully. I must say thank God for When Steel Talks, because this discussion has proven to me how beneficial and didactic these posts can be. Now that everyone was looking at Renegades, check dis one out It was in de media too. Allyuh read de grapevine on All Stars? Word is that All Stars men grumble about tune of choice too. But Berry Hunte put he foot down. Look at that. Any comments on this also-healthy maxim, in reference to a neighbouring steelband? Yuh know what is freaky? Dis kinda unhealthy argument among band-members does take place every year, and in plenty band too. Not only in de big name ones. My vibe is that we could all attempt to develop new strategies to manifest ourselves more sensibly, and without de extreme small-mindedness that seems to pervade us year in, year out. Over to us all in pan.
        • Hats off to you ED... Couldnt have said it better. And to you also for your input. I agree that this discussion was enlightening and healthy. And again thank God for when steel talks. Congrats!!! And to ALL bands, i wish you true success for the season. May we be blessed with mind-blowing performances this year..
  • everybody makes mistakes look at the state this country UNITED STATES is in
  • I've read the news on the changes that is in review for a change with the band, and to me it really doesn't matter who it is what really matters is that we need Renegades to get back on top the way they use to be . I've been in T'dad for three carnivals recently and I think the band has lost it's musically sparkle and jumpy sound. It's 2k10 and Renegades we need that feel again..... Thanks foreignsweetness... Happy & Healthy 2k10 everyone....
  • The band at some time or the other will have to make some changes and if the time is now so it be,I wish them all the best.
  • Not a bad decision at all!! All the best for Panorama 2010...See you in the finals on February 13th...
