The Executive of Pan Trinbago at present is at pain to keep its expenditure for the 2013 Panorama/Carnival season a BIG SECRET after receiving Millions of dollars of Taxpayers money here in Trinidad and Tobago.
This was very evident on a radio show, on Monday 27th January, 2014 where the President of Pan Trinbago, with his SWEET TALK and MAMAGUY, deliberately avoided having to reveal figures of the monies spent by the World Governing Body of the Steelpan last 2013 Panorama season.
Tax Payers Money, Mr President, belong to the people of The Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. There is no BIG SECRET about this. When you receive Tax Payers money to expend, you are compelled by the laws of Trinidad and Tobago to account for it to the people to which it belongs. There is no BIG SECRET about this either. Why all the BIG SECRETS and not willing to “divulge monies spent.” You mentioned on the show, more than two times (twice) that you were not willing to divulge monies spent to the public. WHY? Is it not our money too?
There is definitely something here to hide. And as the saying goes, what is hidden must one day see the light.
