bugs: When I first read this POST, I read it on my phone. But I just re-read it on my LAPTOP and the qualifier "seems" just jumped out at me.
FIVE THIRD PLACES IN A ROW and you are calling that "seems" -- looks like "PANORAMA PURGATORY" to me!!!!
Why Duvone wins with Pan Elders but can't with Renegades? somewhere in here lies the answer. Could it be that he tries to have the band sounding like Renegades?

Jit is a larger than life figure. Amrit had that same problem while he was in Renegades. In Supernovas he has finally cast aside the shadow of Jit while Duvone is still fighting with it.

I think that Duvone could fix that in SIX MONTHS!!! Call LIAM TEAGUE and let him bring him (Duvone) to Ohio for some intensive training in COMPOSITION and that will be good enough to shake off the JIT GHOST and metamorphosize a NEW MUSICIAN ARRANGER.
I think you have it backwards. If Liam had what Duvone has he would have already won Panorama. Who do they study in advance composition classes? The Beatles, Stevie Wonder, Bob Marley, Jay-Z, Pharell, NWA, Tupac, The Rolling Stones, Boogsie, Bird, Sparrow, Kitchener, Sia, Adele, Calypso Rose, Jit, Bradley...

bugs: MAN cannot control TIME and CHANCE, boy!!! But I have heard TOO MANY PEOPLE say that Duvone does not have HIS OWN arranger's voice despite his prodigious PAN TALENT. And the judges seemed to have bought into that based on the results -- GOOD!!! BUT NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!!

When an arranger wins Panorama it is like winning a Supreme Court case. It's set precedence. It also validates ones voice and approach. It also impacts how the fans and pundits will process what they hear for the next decade or so.

Bugs I believe that Duvone do not approach Renegades with the same mind set as he does Pan Elders. With Pan Elders he feels free to express his music how ever he chooses, on so with Renegades, he allows the ghost of Jit to get inside his head, the Renegades sound he hears is Jits, he tries to have Renegades sounding like Renegades.
