So unless allyuh have some kind of impeachment clause in the constitution (ah sure it eh have no CORRUPTION CLAUSE) then KEITH DIAZ is untouchable. As he reminded the over-ambitious BYRON SERRETTE -- this is a democratically run organization. In other words: You have to beat me in an election in 2018 if you want to be PRESIDENT.
Imagine how much water will flow under the bridge between NOW and THEN. And why does anybody think that YOUNG PEOPLE will do any better? That is a non sequitur in my books.
It all comes down to the SCHOOL GIRL MINISTER OF CULTURE. She controls the purse strings and she could make or break KEITH DIAZ. I say: Give Mr. Keith Diaz the THIRTY MILLION DOLLARS that is owed to him by the GOVERNMENT and let him pay off the PAN PLAYERS and all the debts and give Mr. Keith Diaz a clean slate to implement his agenda and move STEELPAN TRINBAGO forward.

The steelbands "member bands" can call for an immediate investigation into fraud, embezzlement of members' funds, embezzlement of funds from government to private use instead of the organization directly, misappropriation of funds of the organization to private use instead of the organization directly, mismanagement of the organization and also citing the building and land going to waste, and last but not least and immediate payment of monies owed to all pan players listed as receiving funds for the playing at Panorama 2016. The steelbands do not have to go the way of expensive hiring of lawyers to do this. The reason being is that they are not challenging this in a Court of Law. They have to write to the line Ministry and to Parliament, through a parliamentarian who will bring this matter to the House as an urgent request. Within that resignation, the bands should request the NCC through the line minister to immediately run Panorama 2017. The bands have to also request that they can no longer trust the Board of Directors of Pan Trinbago to run Panorama 2017. If these request are not made the member bands should now resign their membership from Pan Trinbago and then they can start a brand new organization of their own and include all the international steelbands from all over the world and that organization should be an International one and can and should be able to raise funds Internationally and privately without any government support. If not, then the fault lies with the band membership. Members are free to resign from any organization. That is the meaning of true democracy. Democracy does not mean if you vote in a Board, that Board can do anything or say anything including ,mismanaging the organization in any particular way. Simply on one count of non payment of playing at the Panorama stipends, the member bands can resign. The problem is both Government and through Pan Trinbago, both have held the steelbands for ransom by the carrot that is Panorama. That has to be drawn to the bands attention in many ways. The bands can walk.

Trinidadians love to complain but will do nothing to help themselves because if the reason to complain is gone, they will not know what to do with themselves.

Very idealistic -- as is so common to the forum. The truth is that if STEELBANDS and PAN MEN had HALF the POLITICAL MATURITY that you are ascribing to them -- a man like KEITH DIAZ would not be ELECTED PRESIDENT.

Pan in Trinidad is all about Panorama at the moment. If Ms Dolly removes Panorama financial control from Pan Trinbago and hands it over to the NCC, Rolly Polly's is done. No one will care if he is the president until 2030.
Pan Trinbago had only one job the people cared about. Run Panorama.
