I have to say at this point that THE "INTERNATIONAL" PAN RAMAJAY COMPETITION is looking more like a STEELBAND DIASPORA COMPETITION than an INTERNATIONAL PAN RAMAJAY COMPETITION ...
... which is ultimately not SURPRISING TO ME ... but a LITTLE DEPRESSING because it shows that PAN MUSIC is still a NOVELTY to the rest of the world.
Or maybe THE EXODUS ADMINISTRATION had TOO MUCH of an INSULAR VIEW in their approach to THE PROJECT.

I cannot believe that the organizers of THE INTERNATIONAL PAN RAMAJAY did not have the foresight to include ONE PAN MAN FROM GRENADA ...
Now, I am NO ADVOCATE for GRENADA -- especially to anyone who has ever read my comments on TRINIDAD POLITICS. But GRENADA is one of the islands that promoted PAN from early. And I think that at least TWO of their PAN PLAYERS should have been featured
