Andy (De Honorary Trini) A Belated Happy Bird Day. My son and I had the honor of meeting you when you were in Toronto with Robbie G. I would be interested in your new method book for the double second for Ryan. Thanks for the music, play on.... (glenford.peters@sympatico.ca)
Hi Andy, I did not know its your birthday. Happy birthday anyway. You've done very much
for the steelpan. I know the Lord has blessed you. You are a good son.Keep up the good
works. What's your phone number?I also loved the comment you made about panaroma.
Stay healthy.
Hi Andy - I had the pleasure of meeting you here in Columbia, MO last Thurs night. I attended your master's class and came away with a lot to chew on. I look forward to getting your new method book for double seconds as soon as it is available.
I also attended your performance with the University of Missouri Steel Band and the UM Jazz Ensemble at the Missouri Theater last night. You were stunning. It was really great to watch you and Skip Thompson trade solos during the performance. Skip is our lead pan player with the Banana Oil Pan Band. He has turned into quit a monster on pan in that last few years. I'm sure this will always be an honor for him and a high point in his career. (not to put words in his mouth.) I wish I could claim I play as well as he does. Working on it.
I only regret that someone did not organize a gig for you with some of our excellent local jazz musicians. I would have loved to see you play in a combo setting. I don't know if that is something that you would have like, or that you can do. Maybe there are contract issues. I hope someone, at least, turned you on to our annual We Always Swing Jazz Series. I did see Jon Pose at the concert, so hopefully that happened.
I've been your fan, long enough, that several of your albums I have are on vinyl. Probably should get more current. Perhaps 8 track. :)
Thank you for your visit and performance. It was truly inspirational. And - once again, Happy Birthday.
