The post-Carnival event produced by Pan Trinbago features in most part the winners and champions of the major competitions and is held annually on the Saturday after Carnival at the Queen’s Park Savannah in Port of Spain, Trinidad. Showtime is 8:00 p.m. and on February 16, 2013.
Heading the cast are the seven steelband champions in the various categories - i.e. Phase II Pan Groove, Buccooneers, Arima Golden Symphony, San Juan East Side Symphony, St. Margaret’s Anglican Boys, St. Francois Girls’ Steel Orchestra and Success Stars Pan Sounds.
This year’s four-hour production features the grand finale of Brian Mac Farlane’s “Joy – The Finale”, “The Joy of Love and Friendship”, Moko In Flames” (Kings of Carnival), and Rakuen no Yoroboki- Joy of Paradise (Queen of Carnival). Other members of the star-studded cast include Junior Band of the Year winner, “Lost in Paradise-A Nancy Story” (Rosalind Gabriel), Junior King and Queen of Carnival and a guest appearance by The Boissiere Village Children’s band “The Passion for Pan”.
Also making the playbill are some of the season’s hottest champs and contenders including the National Calypso Monarch Pink Panther, Political Commentary winner Kurt Allen and Junior Calypso Monarch, Marq Pierre, Extempo’s Lady Africa & Lingo. Other components such as Chutney Soca, International Soca & Groovy Soca Monarch, Young King and National Calypso Queen will be showcased.
Kelly Greene & Harmony will provide musical accompaniment.
There will be a special segment in tribute to Bertie Marshall with Helon Francis singing a calypso of the same name accompanied by Earl Brooks on the conventional tenor pan, Duvone Stewart on the ePan, Keisha Codrington on the Pan App and Darren Sheppard on the PHI pan.
Tickets, General Seating at the Grand Stand, priced at TT $200.00 are on sale at Queen’s Park Savannah Ticket Booth, Port of Spain, from 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, the day of the show.

Champs of Steel Plus, originally called Champs in Concert, has been a fixture in the Carnival calendar since 1980.
