  • Relax Glenroy...in every issue there will be those for and those against...I too have take umbrage with Pelham and "Gold" this year ...I have no problem with any other arranger doing the piece, but not Pelham, simply because he arranged the same tune before, albeit for another band...the sad reality is that he can arrange a "back-in-times" tune anyway, and therein lies the problem...playing tunes of yesteryear should never have been allowed in the first place...there was back then and has always been enough NEW music to go around...but that is whole other discussion...

  • I don't understand why anyone would make a big deal over Pelham Goddard arranging a tune that he did thirty five years ago for a different band, in a different era, with different judges , rules, an entirely different style of arrangement for an entirely different audience.

This line of thinking seems to me to be petty, and very silly.

  • I can't believe Pelham will stoop so low and remake Gold for XO this is  the same tune he did for third world

  • Sure this tune songs great but it sounded great way back when it was first came into being. Makes this repeat of Gold A 2 carat reproduction.

  • Great. Pelham just great, tempo, lyrics. It's Gold for EXODUS.

  • exodus could mash up de place with this.. sweet what happen to melodies like these?

  • Exodus could win with this. One of the best Pan songs this year.

  • Buccaneers will mash up Gold! rhythm fur so!

QRC veterans should get a hype too!

  • Sweet!!,All the best to Buccooneers with this one, can't wait to hear!

  • Good tune, good makeover but after listening to the first verse by Machel the other singers did not do much justice to the song. The tune lost sweetness after Machel finished his part. Kenny J, Baron,FayAnn Lyons, Destra,  Ansylm Douglas, Skatee, Sugar Aloes, Crazy I believe were better selections to complement Machel. Just listen to the tune again to understand what I am getting at.
