As per this E Mail that was placed on Jan 4th. I know that some 68 bands are not eligible to perform at the Paddock on January 22nd. That's more or less the number of bands in all (4) categories that could participate at the preliminaries of 2012. There are about ten bands out of this total of 78 that are not eligible; I am merely curious as to who they are.
Hey Devon and Ian, I miss the days when semis was on the Thursday before Finals, leaving just one day to practice for Finals. Good times!!
My sentiments exactly Mr. Devon Seales. I put up a blog since 2009 stating that the 2-week gap is too wide.
I blame the bands though. When I asked some members of some large bands, the answer is always
"That is how Pan Trinbago has it." The bands have to be more assertive.
Pan trinbago killing the spirit of the panorama with this 2wks break before finals.I think it makes more sense to shift the dates with school panorama and it also allows for more tourists being able to come to the semis because most people come around that time.
Great but you guys didn't mention that a Nigerian Steelband led by the Pan Chief, Bowie S. Bowei, has been invited to perform on the 18th of February, as guest artistes during the Panorama finals...
Is this "organization" for real?
Great!!! Seems like everything is in order this year..... hhhhhmmmm
