An inspiring rendition....by a youthful group. Too bad the onlookers "don't get the feeling". Or maybe they jus' awe struck. I think they like though. They standing around after the tune was over. Yes, good job Penta Rhapsody.

Yeah sweet Eustace .... Just to confuse you a bit, the TnT Bureau of Standards has acknowledged the term STEELPAN (one word, no hyphens) and not STEEL PAN (2 words) or STEEL-PAN as the instrument. So the instrument is now officially steelpan. What we have now in general are steel steelpans. But steelpans can be made out of any material, including Aluminum or brass (these have been done already). So some guy in the US just tried out an aluminum steelpan and there are at least two brass steelpans that I know of.

When Steel Talks should add the word to their dictionary - it comes up as a spelling error! But I am still not sure if it we could call a mixed band of brass, steelpans and PHIs a steelband.

BTW, the really energetic guy in front is playing the bass line on the PHI

can we call it a steelband the phi is not even steel, "the steelpan is the only new acoustical instrument invented in the 20th century" what is acoustical about the PHI or the E-pan, who tune them birch, guppy, harigan? eh, its a welcome Device in the pan world,but it still is just that a device, that functions as a pan,(nice) now a pannist can with his skills go where no pan has gone before

Sometimes many hands/band make light work!Sometimes not?But this "Jam-Session"is very good! Because i like "Good Fusio Music".For example "Fusio-Flamengo".One of group name is:B-Tribe.i am lucky person because I have all their Good Quality/5-Cd!!!
