In 1968, Solo Harmonites brought the whole Savannah down the drag with them with Earl Rodney's arrangement of "The Wrecker".Unfortunately no live recording of that legendary performance is available today. Here, however From the 1968 album "Play Mas with Kitch" is the Grand Master's classic "The Wrecker".He is accompanied by the Ron Berridge Orchestra

  • have you checked with Neville Aleong..he supplied the systems for the CDC at that time. I know he has many old recordings from live performances at the savannah and Queens hall

    Glenroy,

A sweet stroll down memory lane.  If we could only turn back the hands of time.  Calypsoes were so simple but with a punch.  The Calypsonians knew how to string a sentence with words.  Do you have a copy of Starlift's version of Jane, 1968, or the original by Sparrow?   Thank you.

  • No live recoding, but a recording does exist.
