  • Mandrill was one my favorite 70s groups. They made several exciting recordings. Thanks, Neftali for the video.
  • Mandrill was one funky-ass band like Sly & the Family Stone. However, although they made a great effort here to reproduce the calypso sound, more chord work from the bass-man could've taken this performance to a "Whole Nuv-ver Level"...which supports my theory that unlike Reggae, kaiso and soca are complex rythms dat you jus' can't wash yuh foot and jump into! :)
