Real Steel comes from Plymouth, Southwest England.
Leroy Clarke is a third generation panman, son of Toussaint Clarke, Tuner from Bath, UK.
His grandfather came to England in 1951 and founded the Rainbow Steel Orchestra, still alive and kicking in Bath. So - no wonder ;-)
As captain of CalypsonicSteelOrchestra, Dortmund, Germany, I had the great pleasure to go to the panorama with 4 of my students who joined the band for the competition.
I can say that I never heard such great music in my whole life - I'm 61 years old now.
Well done, the song has an excellent flow...sweet music...congratulations...
This is the type of music that will please people like Rudy "Twoleft " Smith, well done.
This is a great arrangement, I can see why this won Panorama in England...congratulations to the arranger, the players, the captain and all those involved with the band. I hope there will be a DVD of the UK Panorama available? I spoke with 'Tello' last night and he was very happy to know his tune won Panorama in England and for me personally, I think it's great that a band I have never heard of before, won. Can someone tell me where the arranger is from and what part of England Real Steel are from? thx.
