"Gaudeamus" has been a traditional University student's (drinking)song for over two hundred years, and the lyrics were modernized in the eighteenth century by Christian Wilhelm Kindleben (1748-1785).This delightful Silver Stars arrangement by Junior Pouchet was originally on the 1967 album "Carnival in Trinidad Vol. III".This longer version is from the 1989 CD "Trinidad Carnival - Steelbands of Trinidad and Tobago"

  • HI Glenroy:

My congratulations to you for putting this tune on WST. Up to this day you can still jump to this uptempo song arranged by the late Junior Pouchet. As we all know Silver Stars is still noye for its uptempo music and this is evident in all of their Panorama Tune of Choice.

    Kindest regards

    Albert John Simon
