This piece came from the streets of Trinidad at Carnival 1971, and was featured on a National geographic album. This is a good example of the big time sound of steel-bands on the road in the 1970's, and I recognize Solo Harmonite's bomb tune of 1971, The Bond of Friendship.Another selection being played is Lord Kitchener's "PP 99".A sweet little taste of pan on the road on J'ouvert morning 1971.Anyone recognizing the other bands, please share, we'd like to know .

  • This was a very special year (1971) as it was the last panorama and carnival I participated in before migrating to Canada..
