  • Ian, I cannot believe you asked about Despers' version.  I was just about to ask about it.  I remember arguing that Depers were better.

  • Thank you very much Glenroy do you or anybody have the performance Amoco Renegades 1980 Jean Pierre arrange by Jit Samaroo

  • @ Ian Cox, fortunately no recording for 1973 but I have the finals live from 1972. The talk was Desperadoes' "Rope" tied them up (lol). Just some trivia, All Stars is the 3rd Steel Orchestra to win Panorama before placing in the top-three. Cavaliers was the first followed by Harmonites. All Stars and Mr Rudy Wells is the first team to win Panorama performing at the No.1 position. Renegades and Desperadoes did it later in 1982 and 1991 respectively. Also All Stars & Leon Edwards have made or broke 8 records from 2007 through 2013. (1) Won the first Panorama in South. (2) Won the first $million. (3) First to defeat another arranger's composition in 2008, (4) First to defeat and win performing another arranger's composition in 2011. (5) Won the only $2-million in 2011. (6) The only Steel Orchestra to place in the top-three from 2007 through 2013. (7) Won $6, 700,000 from 2007 to 2013. (8) Broke Desperadoes' record that they held from 1977 to 2012. All Stars now has 23 top-three at Panorama. Desperadoes and Phase II has 22 each. I did another book, "50 Years of Panorama Finals from 1963 to 2012.

  • I am assuming [could be wrong] no one has Desperadoes' version.
