  • Because of  poor recording technology, many record albums from the nineteen sixties do not adequately convey the real sound of the pans of the sixties, leaving many to assume that "sweetness" of the pan ia a modern phenomenon.

    That is not so.

    The pan was always sweet.

    Fortunately, this record album was made with pretty high standards, and one can get a better idea as to how the pans of that era sounded.

    I have this same tune on the 1964 Steelband Music Festival album, and the difference in audio quality is very obvious.

  • REAL SWEET--I HAVE BEEN TELLING PEOPLE FOR YEARS--THAT THERE IS TOO MUCH REVES IN SOME STEELBAND SONGS AND ALTHOUGHT IT MAY SOUND GOOD IT TAKES AWAY FROM THE SWEETNESS OF THE SONG.WHEN YOU HEAR THIS YOU UNDERSTAND--"BANDIT"
