  Fact is; Mr.Narell is a superlative exponent of "we kinda music".  Thank you Andy, you the beat thing happen to the global image of Pan, in the last twenty years.

  This Kinda a Music is sweet. It is 4:30 AM in cold Toronto and I'm waking up with this in my head. I don't need to be Jumping High all  through life. I grew up waking to the sound of a steelpan soloist on the radio station and now I can still experience it with a full band.

  Thanks Andy (The Anti-hero) for being there to provide the love/ hate relationship for some fans.

  Phase II,  Allstars, Desperadoes, really tore it up, the competition is fierce! So Birdsong didn't make it to the finals! But in all the years I have heard worse sounding bands make it to finals! Sometimes I think they have to add a East band, a Tobago band, a South band to even out the score, best of the worst! But Birdsong/Andy Narell surpassed many bands with their music! The main reason is, I enjoyed it so much! Isn't that what's important! Birdsongs music was clean, polished, well done, a nice tempo, ent! Just because it was not jammin' enough, or not enough arrangement, doesn't mean it can't fit into the "Criteria" of Panorama! It wasn't trash that's for sure!!! Andy may have done better with Skiffle in some peoples opions, or thought it was a "steel band festival piece", but as far as the "Criteria" goes it should have warranted more points. the whole thing about it is arrangement, tempo, clarity, tuning of pans, power, etc. etc. Who do you leave out of finals night? i will have to listen to all the bands on finals night, i will never know. But let me tell you this, the last 2 or 3 or 4 bands final night did not play like Birdsong! i can guess this without listening!

  i did not get to hear this DURING the semis as my live stream chose that momemt to cut out. Now, listening to it..I seriously ENJOYED it and it was played very well.  Cannot understand WHY it did not make it into the finals.

  Again, Andy Narell did not do justice to that tune. I am totally mad he messed up such a sweet tune with this arrangement for Birdsong. The arrangement never flowed sweet as he had done with Skiffle Bunch in the past.
