  • Glenroy what I like about Andy is any time he plays with conventional instruments you always hear the pan.

  • Or, how about this one, Claude?

  • For everyone wishing to buy Andy's DVD, it can easily be purchased at his website.

  • Steve, it wasn't Southern Symphony, it was after that era when Bonaparte Brothers had a big band with a big sound.

One hit they had was an arrangement of Bobby Darin's "Treat my baby good' and this was one of the arrangements that was played by the Sando steel band whose name I can't remember.

This would have been mid sixties

  • Curtis, it was quite common in the old days for Trinidad dance bands to play panorama arrangements.

Several Beverly Griffith arrangements were played by Clarence Curvan's orchestra and Desperadoes.

In the sixties , pan pioneers and musicians the Bonaparte brothers had a big band, and their arrangements were also played on pan(it was a south band, I can;t remember the name).

The difference was that those arrangements played by the Trinidad dance bands did not feature the pan.

  • Hershimu played this song on WACK 90.1 FM 2 years ago for my birthday....I love this arrangement so so bad...I have been talking about project like this for over 20 years, this proof it can be done. Big Band playing a panorama arrangement...Pan woman is mone of my top 5 pan selections of all time.

  • Andy Narell:  Keep taking the instruments to higher heights.  Thanks man.

  • Master playing another Master.

  • Thank you Glenroy.
