    • Andre, see you at ExO. Sunday ?

      • I will be on the hill on sunday...to enjoy Boogsie and company...

  • Do these people understand the effects of the "Jurisdiction clause" in law.?

If they had listened to Ramsey- Moore and Keith Simpson and did investigative work on the other local stakeholder, our country and the pan Fraternity would not have been so embarrassed. Imagine throughout all these negotiations, there was no

legal input in T&T, but the Board wants to "mamaguy" people once more, insult our intelligence, by telling us they are going to sue Chief Bowie in Nigeria. B.S. That is not happening, and who thinks i am shooting off my mouth, just wait and see.

They the entire Executive Committee is so embarrassing, none can help each other, and the weak ones remain for the position and stipend.

Refer to Moe Melville's reply on this issue, and the letter submitted to Keith Diaz by Beverly Ramsey- Moore.

I hope these people understand that the FIU can get involved and that will be another story and futher embarrassment to our organisation.

    • What a sad state of affairs! Let's hope that 'transparency and 'accountability' with a dose of honesty and integrity find it's way into the "new visionaires" let's hope and pray, eh?

  • How embarrassing!!!!! Where was the financial analyst with the business head in this agreement ?.............no they studying to fatten dey pocket $$$$$$ 'Fire really in the backseat' hmmmmm! Ah shame!

  • I found this unsigned copy of a letter in my mail box this about two weeks ago and i decided to share it with when steel talks based on what i am now reading. The letter was sent to Mr Diaz by Mrs Ramsey Moore when she was on the executive. I further found out that it is a true copy of a letter she really sent to Diaz
It look as though he did not take warning "Now fire in he back seat"

Ramsey Moore seem to be a true visionary

    Dear Mr. Diaz,

It is with a sense of deep concern for the future of the Steelband Movement in Trinidad and Tobago, that as an elected member of the Central Executive of Pan Trinbago, I write this letter to express my grave dissatisfaction with what appears to be a flagrant disrespect for executive decisions.

You will recall that from the first meeting of the Central Executive Committee, I stated that I operated on the principles of transparency, accountability and prudent financial responsibility. I have also advocated that all committees as prescribe by Pan Trinbago Constitution should be appointed to assist the organisation in carrying out its functions effectively. One such very important committee is the Finance Committee which could have comprised members of the Central Executive. As such, this committee would have made some decisions more credible and even more palatable and would have served as a buffer between the President / CEO and the Central Executive.

Mr. President, you will recall that you hired a consultant in December 2011 to manage the Panorama Greens and paid him over Four Hundred Thousand Dollars ($400,000.00). You did this without the knowledge of the Central Executive Committee even though we warned you about your seeming dictatorial tendencies. You further compromised the situation by disregarding the decision of the meeting held on March 6th 2012, which dealt with the issue of ‘The Africa Trinidad and Tobago Steel Pan Development Company Limited’.

You will also recall that the Central Executive Committee further agreed that a formal business plan or rational for the establishment of such a company should be laid before the meeting for discussion after which a decision would be finally made. The meeting also agreed that background checks be made on Excell Steel Pan Company in Nigeria and Financial Concepts Limited of Trinidad and Tobago, so that pertinent information can be ascertained on their track record and suitability for proposed ventures. To date, no information has been provided on these two matters so that we can make informed decisions on the way forward.

In light of the aforementioned, I am sure you will understand my consternation when I read on ‘When Steel Talks’ that ‘’Africa Trinidad and Tobago Steel Pan Company LTD Kicks off” and there was a signing of documents to that effect.

Mr. President, as the elected Assistant Secretary of Pan Trinbago, I consider these actions as a show of blatant disrespect to all members. Although I ventilated my feelings at the executive meeting held on Tuesday May 22nd 2012 which resulted in you being mandated to produce all documentation on the new company at a special meeting to be held on June 17th 2012 I still feel insulted because it is already a done deal and of what use will be my contribution. I believe that I ought to have been a part of this important decision making process. How therefore can such decisions have taken place without Central Executive authority?

Let me state clearly that I am not against any organisation venturing boldly into foreign markets, but good governance requires that a feasibility study which includes a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses / Limitations, Opportunities, and Threats) analysis must be conducted to facilitate informed decision making. I am thoroughly against a clique of individuals purporting to be acting for and on behalf of the organisation, conducting business in the name of the organisation. I take serious umbrage to that type of behaviour.

I want to suggest that you engage in a period of reflection and re-examine your pathway. It is inexcusable when mistakes are made that can tarnish the entire Central Executive of Pan Trinbago and by extension the entire steelband body. I believe in collective responsibility but I may be put in a position where I might have to speak on my own behalf if not only to protect my own integrity and I really would not like matters to reach thus far. I have admired your love for the movement and the way in which you walk and talk with the grass roots men and women but please Sir, in your anxiety to see a financially sound Pan Trinbago we must all be guided by the constitution of the organisation.

I do hope that you take my constructive criticisms in good faith as they can only help to strengthen the organisation in its quest to become the World Governing Body of Steel pan.

    Yours Respectfully

    Beverley Ramsey -Moore

    Assistant Secretary Pan Trinbago

    • Wow. Maybe it is time for the man who inspired "Do Something For Pan" to step down. This is a smoking gun in favor of Mr. Bowei.  This is starting to get embarrassing on a world stage.

    • I hope that there is no legal fees incurred in  this "GRAND STANDING" by the president of Pan Trinbago.
