LAVENTILLE STEELBAND FESTIVAL FOUNDATION

LAUNCH OF BOOK & WEBSITE

In our thrust to enlighten and expose the positives in our communities The Laventille Steelband Festival Foundation undertook to produce our first official publication and to establish of a strong presence on the internet.

The Book entitled “Another Side of Laventille”, depicts the tremendous work of the Laventille Steelband Festival Foundation over the past 14 years and the success of the upliftment of community image and spirits through the steelbands that reside within the communities. It reveals another positive view of our communities and its people that is seldom told in mainstream media.

Our website has been developed to provide extensive information, music and visual materials which tells the story of communities with tremendous potential and possibilities when its positive assets are promoted and developed. A facebook page has also been established in this regard. 

As a formal pronouncement of these most significant milestones, we will be launching our book entitled “Another Side of Laventille” and the Official Website of the Laventille Steelband Festival Foundation www.laventillesteelbandfoundation.com on Friday 3^rd August, 2012 at 10.00 am at the Glass Room, House of Angostura, Laventille
